Delta f is Reaching Out
For the past few years that we've been doing this it has seemed like a juvenile excuse to party and get drunk. I'm not going to try and say here that that isn't what we do. We in fact do that quite a bit. I have to say though, that as I have explored the internet for similar kind of sites I don't feel bad when I say that Delta f is the world's first Anti-Frat - someone can prove me wrong is they want to. I would be happy to link up with any other Anti-Frat out there. This in fact is the entire point of this post: Those of us at Delta f, and me in particular, really believe in what we are doing. We really are against what Fraternities stand for and get away with, although I will have to admit that Canadian Fraternities are quite a bit better in terms of their human rights records and social consciences than their American counterparts.
I post this as a call to the other organizations out there that in some way do what we do - believe in being social, having fun at school and doing it without discriminating against anyone. In short, and dumbing it down quite a bit, the "Greek Letter" societies are bad. We want to be good, too, so let's get together in some way shape or form and talk about it.
I've been busy over the past few days scouring cyberspace for people who do what we do, too. Here are a few of the most interesting I've found with a little help from Google. Please let me know if I've missed any...
My Anti Fraternity site. Think Greek letter societies are not that bad? Read this. Learn.
Black Rose. Another Anti-Frat, though brought together through their love of the game Warlocks. Interesting.
Wicked Killa Pissa. Claim to be older than Delta f, although I can't tell if it's serious or not. The roster of famous inductees is impressive; Jimi Hendrix. Wow. Wicked Killa Pissa seems to be the only real "organization" like Delta f - Anti-Frat, pro party, ect... I look forward to getting in touch with these guys.
I hope to have more links like these in the future.
Party on!
